Happy 14 month day!

Happy 14 month birthday McKaden! As I sit here I cannot believe how much she has changed in two months. As you might recall, she cried through the cupcake at her 12 month birthday ... of course that was due to extreme jet lag! She now has this kind of attitude that cracks me up. She is a great walker and can actually run when she wants to. She can say quite a few words and is a great communicator with different signs. She can play chase - with Dad of course! She has developed a love for basketball and dogs ... and no, we will not be getting a dog. Her hair has grown in and she likes to pick out what hair bow or hat she wants to wear each day. She can make the sounds and recognizes the letters M, A, C and D. She can push buttons to operate a number of things in our home. She has 8 teeth on the top and 2 on the bottom [but others are starting to sneak in]. She has been home with Dianne as her babysitter and loves it. She recognizes Target and the gym when we drive by ... oh yes, and McDonalds. She raises her hands in worship when she hears music and claps when ever someone cheer. The list goes on and on ....

We love her so much and cannot imagine our lives without her. She makes us laugh and reminds us how wonderful life is. She has bonded us together as a family and for that we owe her a lot. I hear her now playing in her crib - nap time must be over.

She loves music and loves to play the guitar. She is careful and likes to use the pick when she plays. Maybe she is not too young for Kindermusik??!!

Rained for 40 days and 40 nights

It feels like it has been raining for 40 days and nights here! We are dying to take her out in her new jogging stroller but cannot seem to get the rain to stop. Yes, it has a rain cover, but that is no fun! Ok, I admit it, it is just too cold for me!

Bath Time

As you can see, Mac loves her bath much more than she did two months ago. She really does love to play and splash around. We got her a bubble gun and had fun blowing bubbles at her last night. She does a sign for bubble - she kind rubs her hands together, as if she is trying to get a bubble off. When I was eating the other day, she noticed something that looked like a bubble in the clear dish I was eating out of. She kept on doing the sign until I said the word "bubble". She has since used that sign when seeing bubbles. She is an amazing little person.

Feeding time on the farm

As you can see, she is an eating machine. This kid will eat anything. She is getting pretty good with the old spoon and will only drink from a cup with a straw [will not do the sippy cup]. We are thrilled that she will eat anything, as we just feed her what we are eating. I figure if she can't have it ... should we be eating it?

We take her to restaurants frequently and she loves that too ... how fun is that!
