Summer Smiles

With summer coming to an end, I will try to share with you a few of our summer smiles - times when we were able to rest, be a family, laugh and enjoy the company of good friends. These are some happy memories with the C family at Lake Chelan.

End of an Era

We [ok, maybe not me] spent last weekend cleaning out and closing down the family farm. As you may recall, Mark's dad had a stoke last summer, and has been unable to work. It was impressive to watch the siblings, spouses, and grandkids work to put this farm to rest. There were tears as we watched the last combine being hauled in ... the farm is now asleep. For many, many years this was a working grain farm - now it is quiet, a home where Grandma lives and spoils her grandkids. There is still laughter and sweet memories there - we only wish that grandpa could come home.

That is not nice ...

We woke to find that someone was not very nice! If you are the robber that took our wheels and tires - SHAME on YOU! It makes me sad to think that people do this.

July 31

Let me tell you a little about July 31.
First of all, Mark and I had our first date, 10 years ago, on July 31st. This year we celebrated - we celebrate it every year - by taking some to be together, just the two of us! We had a great time planing and dreaming for the next 10 years. Where has the time gone?


AND July 31st a Thursday - so that means Farmer's Market Day!


And did I mention it was JULY 31ST?!?! So why are my kids freezing and wearing rain coats? Crazy weather!!
