Now that Is a Birthday!

Happy Birthday Dear Little Max!

On Friday the 25th, Max turned three years old. I cannot believe that I am the parent of two 3 year olds! We had a little party for him - McKaden was great to sing, blow out his candle and remember him. We sent him off a package that we hope he will see - but who knows.

For his birthday we got our TA [travel approval]!!

For those of you who wonder what this means - it means that we have been invited to get Max - it also means that we may have been involved in the quickest adoption ever - three months! We are thinking about traveling the second week in March - we will keep you posted. There is much to do, apply for our visa's and making our travel arrangements

Pray that he is being prepared to join this crazy family. Pray that we will be patient and understanding as he adjusts to us.

Hang ON for this wild ride

Just a quick update for those of you wondering what is next as we wait for Max ... not a lot! I got the paperwork for our visa's today along with the things we need to fill out for our consulate appointment. We are now trying to decide how we want to do this trip - Hong Kong first and on to Guangzhou or Beijing first. I am just starting to look into flight plans and airfare today and have no idea how this is going to work. So, we continue to step out in faith. HUGE thanks for friends who have been giving to see this little guy come home - we are humbled by your sacrifice. Hang on .... HERE WE GO!

Special Delivery

My friend Megan found our Fed Ex and gave it to me ... I laughed as I told her she was delivering our son! When I realized just how funny it was, I got my camera and got this photo before she left our house - Megan is a Labor and Delivery Nurse!!! Funny! For those of you wanting more technical terms, we got our Letter of Acceptance from China - this is going WAY TOO fast for us to keep up with. There is rumor that we will be invited to travel in the next few weeks. Pray for us as we decide what travel time is best for us and this little guy.

Holiday Happenings

Yes, we are alive and well! It was a great and magical Christmas around here. We were thrilled to see everything through the eyes of a child. Christmas Eve service was amazing - watching McKaden sing the Christmas Carols and talk about baby Jesus brought tears to my eyes. We opened gifts from family and friends on Christmas Eve and gifts from Santa on Christmas Day. It was quiet, as it was just the three of us ... but next year will be very different! We took off for Arizona the day after Christmas and had a great time at the basketball tournament. Mark's team did great! Yes, we missed our families and friends at Christmas and hope to be back home next year ... with the kids.
