McKaden, you are growing up so fast! I look at you every morning and you seem so much older and mature. You are reading now and it is so much fun to have you read to me. You have grown quite a bit and now weigh 34 pounds and are 41 inches tall - so different from the little 17 pound, one year old baby we brought home from China. You LOVE school and cannot wait to go. You still are obsessed with anything that has to do with animals and science. I had to laugh after our long conversation yesterday about stitches and why people need them. Your passion for gardening and nature is so similar to Nana's. She was the first person you called when we left the Garden and Flower Show - you told her she "really missed out." You are a great older sister and becoming a better teacher to Max. We appreciate how are are taking time to work with him and teach him things that he does not know yet. You did a great job today working with him on the computer. It also did my heart good to hear you tell each other that you miss each other when you are at school today. I hope that you guys are always close. Your prayers for others touches our hearts. Your grasp of "that is how God made me", makes us smile. Your desire to count by 2's, 3's and 4's boggles this mama's mind - thank goodness Daddy is a math teacher. You struggle to get your tenses right and that cracks us up - we need to correct you more but it is so cute. You will often add an ED to words - like you go-ed to the store. I don't know why, it is just cute! You informed us on how you loved Thai food yesterday - thank goodness to hear that. You also let us know that you want to play basketball over taking ballet. You love your friends and cousins and wish that they could come and play all the time - and play ponies or animals which are your favorite games to play. You still whine when you are tired or don't get your way - but we know that you are trying to work on that. You pick the currents out of your couscous, want fries more than once a week [only on Friday's we say] and have decided that you don't like sweet potato anymore. Whatever. You have given up your blankey in the car [thank goodness!] but still like it when you go to sleep. We are working on that one. You adore whistling, jump rope and hopscotch - all things that take time when getting from point A to point B. McKaden you are just so much fun! We love you and and are proud of you! God made the perfect match when HE put you in our family. You are a very special 4 year old!
