McKaden has been a trooper. She definitely was cautious with us. She didn't know what to make of us. It doesn't help that we think she was probably pretty medicated when we met her. She also is quite sick with a cold. Despite all that, she hasn't had any crying episodes, and has taken a bottle and started to eat. This picture is from 9:22 last night when Lori first got her to smile. Since then, today she has smiled several times, showing off her toothy (4 big ones!) smile. It was neat for me, Mark, to go from her not really looking me in the eye when she took her bottle, to today where she just contentedly watches me as she drinks it: very cool.

Mark, Lori, & McKaden,,congratulations!! the baby is beautiful..gave picts to your mom & dad Lori, Bob was thrilled...about McKaden cold & returning home on plane, check with the person you work with for adoption about a decongestant for the flight home..give a dose 30 to 45 minutes before decending to prevent ear pressure & pain. Also have a water bottle for her to suck on to "pop" the pressure..you know what i mean when you travel over the pass & you ear plug up and you yawn to equalize the pressure..any questions feel free to ask..
